• How do I check out with my HSA/FSA card?

  You must checkout as a guest (do not log into ShopPay). Select "Truemed" as your payment method. You will then be taken to a Truemed survey to confirm your eligibility. Once completed, you will be able to enter your HSA/FSA card details and checkout.

  It may take up to 24 hours to confirm eligibility (but often much faster). Your order will be placed on a hold during this time. Once confirmed, it will ship out immediately.

  If for any reason your eligibility is not confirmed, your order will be canceled and refunded (and you will receive an email notification).

• How does using my HSA/FSA save me money?

  HSA and FSA accounts hold money set aside before taxes. Paying with that money instead of your regular account means you skip the income tax you'd otherwise pay on it. How much you save depends on your tax bracket.

• What is Truemed?

  Truemed connects you with a licensed provider who reviews a short health survey. If they find the device fits your needs, they issue a Letter of Medical Necessity, which lets you pay with your HSA or FSA card.

• What is a Letter of Medical Necessity, and how is this compliant?

  The items in your Truemed Letter of Medical Necessity (“LMN”) are now qualified medical expenses in the same way a visit to the doctor’s office or pharmaceutical product is.

  
  There are thousands of studies showing food and exercise is often the best medicine to prevent and reverse disease. Exercise qualifies as a qualified medical expense with an LMN. Food, supplements, and other wellness purchases qualify as medical expenses if they treat or prevent an illness, and a doctor substantiates the need. Your Truemed LMN satisfies all IRS requirements to make your wellness spend fully reimbursable.

• What if I'm not approved?

  Your order is canceled and refunded, and you'll get an email letting you know. You can still buy with a regular card.
